What is Baptism?

Baptism is an ordinance, or practice, of the Christian faith in which believers identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. We encourage those who have trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior to be baptized as a testimony to others.

All baptisms at FEFC are conducted in a public fashion either indoors during a worship service or in the courtyard. Off site locations will be considered as well.

Are there any prerequisites for baptism?

The only prerequisite for baptism at First Evangelical Free Church is that the one being baptized has placed their faith for salvation in Jesus Christ. Baptism is not required for membership.

Being Baptized

If you are considering baptism, your first step is to attend a Baptism Class, held on the first Sunday of each month. The class is designed to prepare you for baptism and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. To sign up for a class please call the Family Minitries office at 891-1631 or email to families@fefc.org.
