Shawn Colvin, Holiday Songs & Lullabies: This disc is about 10 years old as I write this, but these arrangements are beautiful - I'm not one for a lot of brass, but these brass arrangements are stunning and understated without overshadowing Shawn's voice.

Sara Groves, O Holy Night: This was just released a couple of months ago, but I liked so much of it that we ended up playing a couple of these tracks on Christmas Eve. Very nice.

Vince Guaraldi Trio, A Charlie Brown Christmas: The classic. 'Nuff said.

Andrew Peterson, Behold the Lamb of God: This is the best Christmas music I have ever heard. If you really like soft jazz arrangements of Christmas carols, please do not buy this disc - you'll be sorely disappointed. Buy Chris Botti's Christmas disc instead. However, if you're looking for something new that will teach you, encourage you, and show you Our Savior's great plan, go ahead and get this. Andrew tells the Christmas story, but instead of using the Savior's birth as the beginning, he uses it as the climax, choosing to begin telling the story in the Old Testament times. This is an incredible disc.

Various Artists, Noel: Out of print, but the source of several of my favorite Christmas carol arrangements.

Various Artists, Your King Has Come: Ditto of Noel.

Oh, and this is my favorite non-sacred Christmas song - Satchmo himself singing "'Zat You, Santa Claus?"
